My primary medium is ceramics which I use to make both utilitarian and sculptural forms. The shape of the human body and plant life often inspire the forms. The surface of my functional structures provides a canvas for experimental drawing and glazing. The sculptures are glazed in a subdued color pallet to emphasize their form. To convey my more internal thoughts and emotions, I use natural forms such as flora and fauna along with female figures to both explore themes of women in nature and act as a self-portraiture.
